New Website

Welcome to the new site.  Still working on a few things here and there.

The following is the last post from the old site:

I thought of creating a new website during my last break (summer 2009), but this winter break was the first chance I had to actually develop the website and turn an idea into reality.

I decided to do this for two reasons: branding and content.

Jared K. Productions started off as my video productions throughout high school and instead of crediting my name, I credited Jared K. Productions. I started a blog and named it “Jared K. Productions”. Over the last year and or so that I’ve had my blog, my content focus changed from my videos to my business/economics/tech analyses. Because of that, Jared K. Productions no longer aligned with my content.

I decided to create my new website at http://www.jaredkastriner.com because the brand(me) aligns better with the content. I wanted to improve my SEO, so I figured, what’s better then using my name itself.
The new website is almost done, I am just waiting on a friend to create a new logo and I have to figure out how I am going to manage the content in the photography section.

I like to think that the new site is much more functional because of both the layout and some cool functions(contact me, archives, email updates, etc…).

If you are reading this via RSS feed, you can add the new RSS feed to your reader of choice.

In the coming weeks, I will delete the content on blogger, but don’t fret, it is already on the new site. I will also be changing the routing on this domain. http://www.jaredkproductions.com, will go to the Jared K. Productions section on the new site, focusing on my video productions.
